In response to a request from the U.S. Congress several years ago, the U.S. Justice Department issued a report relative to immigration and international marriage issues that stated "it would appear" that marriages between U.S. citizens and foreign nationals "would tend to last longer" than that of domestic marriages on the whole. This is a subtle way of saying that the data reflects that marriages between people from different countries and cultures in the Untied States are generally more successful in the long term. There may be numerous reasons for this - if this high-level research is accurate.
Through our experience, we have found that single individuals serious about finding a lifemate are often looking for values and attitudes that they feel they can't find at home. They are frustrated with the opportunities and options that they have available to them within their immediate region.
